According to Jay-Z, the song wasn't meant to diss anyone...it wasn't even supposed to be released. When Hov was in Oakland he played Too Short's version while he was on stage and the crowd went bananas. This prompted him to record a 2:00 Freestyle to the track. He sent it to Lebron while he was out in D.C. hoping to get the honarary Roc-A-Fella member amped, and Lebron thought it would be a good idea to give it to a DJ at a local night club.

Now the songs out...Hova The God is still the Best Rapper Alive...Lebron is a monster...Soulja Boy still sucks...Deshawn Stevenson has no right goin' at Lebron...
